~Vibes – The IASPM D-A-CH Series ist eine Publikationsreihe des deutschsprachigen Zweigs der International Association for the Study of Popular Music (IASPM D-A-CH).
~Vibes versammelt ab der 3. IASPM D-A-CH Konferenz in Bern 2018 ausgewählte Beiträge aus den IASPM D-A-CH Konferenzen und erscheint regelmäßig alle zwei Jahre.
Alle Beiträge durchlaufen vor der Veröffentlichung ein single-blind Peer-Review-Verfahren.
~Vibes versteht sich gemäß des Mission Statements von IASPM D-A-CH als Plattform für internationale, interinstiutionelle, intergenerationale, inderdisziplinäre und interprofessionelle Forschungen und Überlegungen aus den Popular Music Studies.
~Vibes vertritt eine multiperspektivische Berücksichtigung von Popular Music in all ihren Texten und Kontexten – aus theoretisierenden, empirisierenden, historisierenden und politisierenden Blickrichtungen.
~Vibes ermöglicht diverse Publikationsformate, probiert aus und öffnet sich als Plattform ausdrücklich auch nicht genuin akademischen/wissenschaftlichen, also v.a. journalistischen und künstlerischen Texten.
~Vibes ist eine wissenschaftliche Publikation ohne kommerzielle Interessen. Alle Beiträge sind online frei zugänglich (open access).
~Vibes – The IASPM D-A-CH Series is a publication series of the German-speaking branch of the International Association for the Study of Popular Music (IASPM D-A-CH).
Commencing with the 3rd IASPM D-A-CH conference in Bern 2018, ~Vibes has been collecting selected contributions from the IASPM D-A-CH conferences. The series is released every second year.
Before publication, all contributions pass through a single, blind, peer-review process.
Following the mission statement of IASPM D-A-CH, ~Vibes envisages itself as a platform for international, interinstitutional, intergenerational, inderdisciplinary, and interprofessional research, and perspectives from popular music studies.
~Vibes represents a multiperspective consideration of popular music in all its texts and contexts—from theoretical, empirical, historical, and political angles.
~Vibes enables various formats of publications, experiments, and opens its platform explicitly to non-academic, to say journalistic and artistic texts.
~Vibes is an academic publication without commercial interests. All contributions are accessible online (open access).
